This Privacy Policy explains how Fariz handles information when you use our website. In short: Fariz is an informational aggregator. We do not require an account, we do not ask you for personal information, we do not run advertising or tracking, and we do not sell your data.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide: none is required to browse Fariz. There is no sign-up, login, or form. If you choose to email us, we receive the contents of your message and your email address so we can reply.

Stored on your device (not sent to us): to make the site work, we store a small amount of data in your browser — your language preference, your light/dark theme choice, and your recent searches. This data stays on your device and you can clear it at any time from your browser settings.

Collected automatically by our hosting: like virtually every website, our hosting and content-delivery providers may automatically record technical server logs — such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested, referring page, and timestamps — to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service. We do not use these logs to build profiles or identify you personally.

2. Cookies and local storage

We use a minimal, strictly functional set of browser storage. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

• fariz_locale (cookie): remembers your chosen language (Arabic or English).
• Theme preference (local storage): remembers your light or dark mode choice.
• Recent searches (local storage): remembers your latest searches on your device for convenience.

You can delete cookies and local storage at any time through your browser. Doing so simply resets these preferences.

3. How we use information

We use the limited information above only to: operate, maintain, and secure the Service; remember your preferences; and understand aggregate, non-identifying usage so we can improve Fariz. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it.

4. How we share information

We do not sell or rent your information. We may share limited technical data with infrastructure providers (such as hosting and content-delivery services) strictly to operate the Service, and we may disclose information where required to comply with applicable law, regulation, or a lawful request from a competent authority.

5. Third-party links

Fariz links out to bank and merchant websites. Those sites are operated by third parties and have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices, and we encourage you to review their policies before providing them any information.

6. Data retention

Data stored on your device remains until you clear it. Technical server logs held by our infrastructure providers are retained for a limited period for security and operational purposes, then deleted or anonymized in the ordinary course.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the Service. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights

Subject to the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and other applicable laws, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because Fariz collects very little personal data, these requests will usually concern any correspondence you have sent us. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

9. Children's privacy

Fariz is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

10. International processing

The Service is operated for users in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the limited technical data described above may be processed on servers located in the Kingdom or in other regions used by our infrastructure providers, consistent with applicable law.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date reflects the latest version. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
